Treatment during pregnancy

The most commonly asked questions

I'm pregnant, can I still have laser treatment?  Whilst there are no known dangers to treatment during pregnancy your hormones will be in a state of flux, so we recommend pausing your treatments until 4 weeks after the birth.
Can I shave before a treatment?  Yes, so long as you do so at least 24 hours prior to an appointment, but don't pluck or wax the area to be treated.
I have blond hair, will laser hair removal still work?  The procedure relies on exciting the pigment in your hair, so results can be less effective when applied to very fair, or grey, hair.  Contact us for a free consultation.
Is your 'free' consultation really free?  Absolutely, and without obligation. We would much rather tell you, after examination, that we are only able to offer limited help with your condition, than to have an unhappy patient!
Is IPL hair removal permanent?  IPL significantly inhibits the ability of follicles to produce hair, however, everyone's skin is different and hair growth is also subject to underlying factors such as hormone production.  This means that some clients may require periodic 'top up' treatments to maintain the optimum benefit.
Is laser fat reduction permanent?  Like liposuction, the procedure offers a permanent result... but it does not mean that you can never gain fat in these areas again.  It's important to maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle to retain the cosmetic benefits
Do you have male and female clinicians?  Yes, and we operate completely independent male and female clinic sessions, both to avoid embarrassement and accommodate patients with a cultural requirement for gender separation.

If you have any questions please call the clinic for advice on 01709 789550, or complete the request form on our welcome page and one of our clinicians will call you back to help.
